Wolfpack Swim Camp will be offering a 1-day start and turn clinic for 1st-8th grade swimmers. Some pools don’t have the proper facilities to work on starts and many teams don’t offer enough time to work on starts or turns. What better time than early in the short-course season to identify areas to improve and make the necessary adjustments? ALL swimmers can benefit from this clinic!
We will have Wolfpack Elite pro swimmers on the blocks and in the water demonstrating dive starts, backstroke starts, relay starts, and turns for every stroke and IM transition**. On deck, we will have NC State coaches and Wolfpack Elite pros with a low swimmer to coach ratio to ensure each swimmer gets the attention and feedback they need.
**The back to breast options will be reviewed but there is not ample time to teach a crossover turn during this clinic
This clinic will be held at YOTA's Oberlin Rd Program Center YMCA pool which is an indoor pool located minutes from NC State University. We are able to utilize 6 lanes at this facility.
Our very popular underwater video add-on will be available for: flip turn (back or free), open turn (fly or breast), back-to-breast crossover turn. We will also have the option for above water dive start and backstroke start video add-ons. For those that select this option, their starts/turns will be videoed during the clinic and the analysis will be done by our coaches post-clinic and emailed home.
